A little history…

First appearing in the 1940’s as 6″ tall Windup Robots named “Lilliput” and “Atomic Robotman” the Tin Toy Robot market grew strong in the 1950’s and 1960’s thanks to the space race era. Battery Operated Robots began production at this time in the form of the famous “Robby the Robot”, “Zoomer Robot”, “Cragstan’s Mr. Robot”, and many more. The 1960’s introduced one of the most long lived Tin Toy Robots referred to as Rotatomatics produced by the Horikawa Co.
